照明を落としたギャラリー空間に アイマスクを付けて 晴眼者も視覚障がい者も平等に作品を鑑賞する企画展『暗闇のアート』 にて、村田は絵画作品『Prompt to Poem』を発表しました。
鑑賞者は絵画の前に立ち、そこで語りました。

絵画は色と形、その関係である。
視覚障害者に、絵画の内容を語りかけ、それを芸術鑑賞とするとき、色と形は言葉に変わる。本作『Prompt to Poem』は、生成系AI で絵を描くために指示する文章「プロンプト」が、言葉から絵を描くことに着目する。
私が絵を描くとき、身体には言葉にはならない感覚があり、それが手を動かして画布に絵の具を置いている。
絵から言葉を起こし芸術鑑賞をする構造は、絵からプロンプトに戻しているかのようだと考えるが、作者によって言葉にするとき、同じように戻るわけではなく、変容していく。それは詩である。

The painting is about color, form, and the relationship between them.
When you talk about the content of a painting to a visually impaired person and treat it as art appreciation, the colors and shapes turn into words. This work, “Prompt to Poem,” focuses on how the text “prompt” that instructs generative AI to draw a picture draws a picture from words.
When I paint, there is an indescribable sensation in my body that moves my hands and places the paint on the canvas.
I think that the structure of creating words from a picture and appreciating art is like returning from a picture to a prompt, but when the artist puts it into words, it does not return the same way, but transforms. it is poetry.
